St. Bernard gets first win

St. Bernard (1-2) notched its first win of the season, 49-30, over Brentwood (1-2) behind a balanced attack with some big-play touchdowns. Quarterback Christian Smith threw for 250 yards and four touchdowns, and he also scored on a 33-yard scamper. The big target for the night was Justin Whitted, who had three touchdown catches including one for 78 yards and another for 68. Daniel Cloyd's 14-yard reception, the game's opening score, was Smith's other touchdown pass.
